And I said 'amar (aw-mar') to say (used with great latitude) unto the angel mal'ak (mal-awk') a messenger; specifically, of God, i.e. an angel (also a prophet, priest or teacher) -- ambassador, angel, king, messenger. that talked dabar (daw-bar') perhaps properly, to arrange; but used figuratively (of words), to speak; rarely (in a destructive sense) to subdue with me What be these And he answered 'amar (aw-mar') to say (used with great latitude) me These are the horns qeren (keh'-ren) a horn (as projecting); by implication, a flask, cornet; by resembl. an elephant's tooth (i.e. ivory), a corner (of the altar), a peak (of a mountain), a ray (of light); figuratively, power -- hill, horn. which have scattered zarah (zaw-raw') to toss about; by implication, to diffuse, winnow -- cast away, compass, disperse, fan, scatter (away), spread, strew, winnow. Judah Yhuwdah (yeh-hoo-daw') celebrated; Jehudah (or Judah), the name of five Israelites; also of the tribe descended from the first, and of its territory -- Judah. Israel Yisra'el (yis-raw-ale') he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: --Israel. and Jerusalem Yruwshalaim (yer-oo-shaw-lah'-im) founded peaceful; Jerushalaim or Jerushalem, the capital city of Palestine -- Jerusalem. |
