For thou hast maintained `asah (aw-saw') to do or make, in the broadest sense and widest application my right mishpat (mish-pawt') a verdict (favorable or unfavorable) pronounced judicially, especially a sentence or formal decree (human or (participant's) divine law, individual or collective and my cause duwn (doon) judgement (the suit, justice, sentence or tribunal); by impl. also strife -- cause, judgement, plea, strife. thou satest yashab (yaw-shab') to sit down (specifically as judge. in ambush, in quiet); by implication, to dwell, to remain; causatively, to settle, to marry in the throne kicce' (kis-say') covered, i.e. a throne (as canopied) -- seat, stool, throne. judging shaphat (shaw-fat') to judge, i.e. pronounce sentence (for or against); by implication, to vindicate or punish; by extenssion, to govern; passively, to litigate right tsedeq (tseh'-dek) the right (natural, moral or legal); also (abstractly) equity or (figuratively) prosperity -- even, (that which is altogether) just(-ice), (un-)right(-eous) (cause, -ly, -ness). |
