A man's 'adam (aw-dawm') ruddy i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.) -- another, + hypocrite, + common sort, low, man (mean, of low degree), person. pride ga`avah (gah-av-aw') arrogance or majesty; by implication, (concretely) ornament -- excellency, haughtiness, highness, pride, proudly, swelling. shall bring him low shaphel (shaw-fale') to depress or sink (expec. figuratively, to humiliate, intransitive or transitive) but honour kabowd (kaw-bode') weight, but only figuratively in a good sense, splendor or copiousness -- glorious(-ly), glory, honour(-able). shall uphold tamak (taw-mak') to sustain; by implication, to obtain, keep fast; figuratively, to help, follow close -- (take, up-)hold (up), maintain, retain, stay (up). the humble shaphal (shaw-fawl') depressed, literally or figuratively -- base(-st), humble, low(-er, -ly). in spirit ruwach (roo'-akh) wind; by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively, life, anger, unsubstantiality; by extension, a region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being |
