And I contended riyb (reeb) to toss, i.e. grapple; mostly figuratively, to wrangle, i.e. hold a controversy; (by implication) to defend with them and cursed qalal (kaw-lal') to be (causatively, make) light, literally (swift, small, sharp, etc.) or figuratively (easy, trifling, vile, etc.)whet. them and smote nakah (naw-kaw') to strike (lightly or severely, literally or figuratively) certain 'enowsh (en-oshe') a mortal; hence, a man in general (singly or collectively)English versions, especially when used in apposition with another word. of them and plucked off their hair marat (maw-rat') to polish; by implication, to make bald (the head), to gall (the shoulder); also, to sharpen -- bright, furbish, (have his) hair (be) fallen off, peeled, pluck off (hair). and made them swear shaba` (shaw-bah') propr. to be complete; to seven oneself, i.e. swear (as if by repeating a declaration seven times) by God 'elohiym (el-o-heem') angels, exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty. saying Ye shall not give nathan (naw-than') to give, used with greatest latitude of application (put, make, etc.) your daughters bath (bath) apple (of the eye), branch, company, daughter, first, old, owl, town, village. unto their sons ben (bane) a son (as a builder of the family name), in the widest sense (of literal and figurative relationship, including grandson, subject, nation, quality or condition, etc. nor take nasa' (naw-saw') to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative, absol. and rel.
