And concerning the tithe ma`aser (mah-as-ayr') a tenth; especially a tithe -- tenth (part), tithe(-ing). of the herd baqar (baw-kawr') beef cattle or an animal of the ox family of either gender (as used for plowing); collectively, a herd -- beeve, bull (+ -ock), + calf, + cow, great (cattle), + heifer, herd, kine, ox. or of the flock tso'n (tsone) from an unused root meaning to migrate; a collective name for a flock (of sheep or goats); also figuratively (of men) even of whatsoever passeth `abar (aw-bar') to cross over; used very widely of any transition (literal or figurative; transitive, intransitive, intensive, causative); specifically, to cover (in copulation) under the rod shebet (shay'-bet) a scion, i.e. (literally) a stick (for punishing, writing, fighting, ruling, walking, etc.) or (figuratively) a clan -- correction, dart, rod, sceptre, staff, tribe. the tenth `asiyriy (as-ee-ree') tenth; by abbreviation, tenth month or (feminine) part -- tenth (part). shall be holy qodesh (ko'-desh) a sacred place or thing; rarely abstract, sanctity -- consecrated (thing), dedicated (thing), hallowed (thing), holiness, (most) holy (day, portion, thing), saint, sanctuary. unto the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. |
