And if thy brother 'ach (awkh) a brother (used in the widest sense of literal relationship and metaphorical affinity or resemblance (like 1) -- another, brother(-ly); kindred, like, other. that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor muwk (mook) to become thin, i.e. (figuratively) be impoverished -- be (waxen) poor(-er). and be sold makar (maw-kar') to sell, literally (as merchandise, a daughter in marriage, into slavery), or figuratively (to surrender) -- at all, sell (away, -er, self). unto thee thou shalt not compel `abad (aw-bad') to work (in any sense); by implication, to serve, till, (causatively) enslave, etc. him to serve `abodah (ab-o-daw') work of any kind -- act, bondage, + bondservant, effect, labour, ministering(-try), office, service(-ile, -itude), tillage, use, work, wrought. as a bondservant `ebed (eh'-bed) a servant -- bondage, bondman, (bond-)servant, (man-)servant. |
