Ye shall not offer qarab (kaw-rab') to approach (causatively, bring near) for whatever purpose unto the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. that which is bruised ma`ak (maw-ak') to press, i.e. to pierce, emasculate, handle -- bruised, stuck, be pressed. or crushed kathath (kaw-thath') to bruise or violently strike -- beat (down, to pieces), break in pieces, crushed, destroy, discomfit, smite, stamp. or broken nathaq (naw-thak') to tear off -- break (off), burst, draw (away), lift up, pluck (away, off), pull (out), root out. or cut karath (kaw-rath') to cut (off, down or asunder); by implication, to destroy or consume; specifically, to covenant neither shall ye make `asah (aw-saw') to do or make, in the broadest sense and widest application any offering thereof in your land 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. |
