And the land
'erets (eh'-rets)
the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world.
is defiled
tame' (taw-may')
to be foul, especially in a ceremial or moral sense (contaminated) -- defile (self), pollute (self), be (make, make self, pronounce) unclean, utterly.
therefore I do visit
paqad (paw-kad')
to visit (with friendly or hostile intent); by analogy, to oversee, muster, charge, care for, miss, deposit, etc.
the iniquity
`avon (aw-vone')
perversity, i.e. (moral) evil -- fault, iniquity, mischeif, punishment (of iniquity), sin.
thereof upon it and the land
