And thou shalt say 'amar (aw-mar') to say (used with great latitude) unto them Whatsoever man 'iysh (eesh) a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation) there be of the house bayith (bah'-yith) a house (in the greatest variation of applications, especially family, etc.) of Israel Yisra'el (yis-raw-ale') he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: --Israel. or of the strangers ger (gare) a guest; by implication, a foreigner -- alien, sojourner, stranger. which sojourn guwr (goor) to turn aside from the road (for a lodging or any other purpose), i.e. sojourn (as a guest); also to shrink, fear (as in a strange place); also to gather for hostility (as afraid) among tavek (taw'-vek) a bisection, i.e. (by implication) the centre -- among(-st), between, half, (there-,where-), in(-to), middle, mid(-night), midst (among), out (of), through, with(-in). you that offereth `alah (aw-law') to ascend, intransitively (be high) or actively (mount); used in a great variety of senses, primary and secondary, literal and figurative (as follow) a burnt offering `olah (o-law') a step or (collectively, stairs, as ascending); usually a holocaust (as going up in smoke) -- ascent, burnt offering (sacrifice), go up to. or sacrifice zebach (zeh'-bakh) a slaughter, i.e. the flesh of an animal; by implication, a sacrifice (the victim or the act) -- offer(-ing), sacrifice. |
