And he shall make an atonement kaphar (kaw-far') to cover (specifically with bitumen); figuratively, to expiate or condone, to placate or cance for the holy qodesh (ko'-desh) a sacred place or thing; rarely abstract, sanctity -- consecrated (thing), dedicated (thing), hallowed (thing), holiness, (most) holy (day, portion, thing), saint, sanctuary. sanctuary miqdash (mik-dawsh') a consecrated thing or place, especially, a palace, sanctuary (whether of Jehovah or of idols) or asylum -- chapel, hallowed part, holy place, sanctuary. and he shall make an atonement kaphar (kaw-far') to cover (specifically with bitumen); figuratively, to expiate or condone, to placate or cance for the tabernacle 'ohel (o'-hel) a tent (as clearly conspicuous from a distance) -- covering, (dwelling)(place), home, tabernacle, tent. of the congregation mow`ed (mo-ade') appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn(-ity), synogogue, (set) time (appointed). and for the altar mizbeach (miz-bay'-akh) an altar -- altar. and he shall make an atonement kaphar (kaw-far') to cover (specifically with bitumen); figuratively, to expiate or condone, to placate or cance for the priests kohen (ko-hane') literally, one officiating, a priest; also (by courtesy) an acting priest (although a layman) -- chief ruler, own, priest, prince, principal officer. and for all the people `am (am) a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock -- folk, men, nation, people. of the congregation qahal (kaw-hawl') assemblage (usually concretely) -- assembly, company, congregation, multitude. |
