But it shall be on the seventh shbiy`iy (sheb-ee-ee') seventh -- seventh (time). day yowm (yome) a day (as the warm hours), that he shall shave galach (gaw-lakh') to be bald, i.e. (causatively) to shave; figuratively to lay waste -- poll, shave (off). all his hair se`ar (say-awr') hair (as if tossed or bristling) -- hair(-y), rough. off his head ro'sh (roshe) the head (as most easily shaken), whether literal or figurative (in many applications, of place, time, rank, itc.) and his beard zaqan (zaw-kawn') the beard (as indicating age) -- beard. and his eyebrows gab (gab) from an unused root meaning to hollow or curve; the back (as rounded); by analogy, the top or rim, a boss, a vault, arch of eye, bulwarks, etc. `ayin (ah'-yin) an eye; by analogy, a fountain (as the eye of the landscape) even all his hair se`ar (say-awr') hair (as if tossed or bristling) -- hair(-y), rough. he shall shave galach (gaw-lakh') to be bald, i.e. (causatively) to shave; figuratively to lay waste -- poll, shave (off). off and he shall wash kabac (kaw-bas') to trample; hence, to wash (properly, by stamping with the feet), whether literal (including the fulling process) or figurative -- fuller, wash(-ing). his clothes beged (behg'-ed) a covering, i.e. clothing; also treachery or pillage -- apparel, cloth(-es, ing), garment, lap, rag, raiment, robe, very (treacherously), vesture, wardrobe. also he shall wash rachats (raw-khats') to lave (the whole or a part of a thing) -- bathe (self), wash (self). his flesh basar (baw-sawr') flesh (from its freshness); by extension, body, person; also (by euphem.) the pudenda of a man -- body, (fat, lean) flesh(-ed), kin, (man-)kind, + nakedness, self, skin. in water mayim (mah'-yim) water; figuratively, juice; by euphemism, urine, semen -- + piss, wasting, water(-ing, (-course, -flood, -spring). and he shall be clean taher (taw-hare') be (make, make self, pronounce) clean, cleanse (self), purge, purify(-ier, self). |
