It is an old yashen (yaw-shane') to be slack or languid, i.e. (by implication) sleep (figuratively, to die); also to grow old, stale or inveterate -- old (store), remain long, (make to) sleep. leprosy tsara`ath (tsaw-rah'-ath) leprosy -- leprosy. in the skin `owr (ore) skin (as naked); by implication, hide, leather -- hide, leather, skin. of his flesh basar (baw-sawr') flesh (from its freshness); by extension, body, person; also (by euphem.) the pudenda of a man -- body, (fat, lean) flesh(-ed), kin, (man-)kind, + nakedness, self, skin. and the priest kohen (ko-hane') literally, one officiating, a priest; also (by courtesy) an acting priest (although a layman) -- chief ruler, own, priest, prince, principal officer. shall pronounce him unclean tame' (taw-may') to be foul, especially in a ceremial or moral sense (contaminated) -- defile (self), pollute (self), be (make, make self, pronounce) unclean, utterly. and shall not shut cagar (saw-gar') to shut up; figuratively, to surrender -- close up, deliver (up), give over (up), inclose, pure, repair, shut (in, self, out, up, up together), stop, straitly. him up for he is unclean tame' (taw-may') foul in a relig. sense -- defiled, + infamous, polluted(-tion), unclean. |
