As for us our eyes `ayin (ah'-yin) an eye; by analogy, a fountain (as the eye of the landscape) as yet failed kalah (kaw-law') to end, whether intransitive (to cease, be finished, perish) or transitived (to complete, prepare, consume) for our vain hebel (heh'bel) emptiness or vanity; figuratively, something transitory and unsatisfactory; often used as an adverb -- altogether, vain, vanity. help `ezrah (ez-raw') aid -- help(-ed, -er). in our watching tsphiyah (tsef-ee-yaw') watchfulness -- watching. we have watched tsaphah (tsaw-faw') to lean forward, i.e. to peer into the distance; by implication, to observe, await -- behold, espy, look up (well), wait for, (keep the) watch(-man). for a nation gowy (go'-ee) a foreign nation; hence, a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts -- Gentile, heathen, nation, people. that could not save yasha` (yaw-shah') to be open, wide or free, i.e. (by implication) to be safe; causatively, to free or succor us |
