For the sins chatta'ah (khat-taw-aw') an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender of her prophets nabiy' (naw-bee') a prophet or (generally) inspired man -- prophecy, that prophesy, prophet. and the iniquities `avon (aw-vone') perversity, i.e. (moral) evil -- fault, iniquity, mischeif, punishment (of iniquity), sin. of her priests kohen (ko-hane') literally, one officiating, a priest; also (by courtesy) an acting priest (although a layman) -- chief ruler, own, priest, prince, principal officer. that have shed shaphak (shaw-fak') to spill forth (blood, a libation, liquid metal; or even a solid, i.e. to mound up); also (figuratively) to expend (life, soul, complaint, money, etc.); intensively, to sprawl out -- cast (up), gush out, pour (out), shed(-der, out), slip. the blood dam (dawm) blood (as that which when shed causes death) of man or an animal; by analogy, the juice of the grape; figuratively (especially in the plural) bloodshed (i.e. drops of blood) of the just tsaddiyq (tsad-deek') just -- just, lawful, righteous (man). in the midst qereb (keh'-reb) the nearest part, i.e. the center, whether literal, figurative or adverbial (especially with preposition) of her |
