Mine eyes `ayin (ah'-yin) an eye; by analogy, a fountain (as the eye of the landscape) do fail kalah (kaw-law') to end, whether intransitive (to cease, be finished, perish) or transitived (to complete, prepare, consume) with tears dim`ah (dim-aw') weeping -- tears. my bowels me`ah (may-aw') used only in plural the intestines, or (collectively) the abdomen, figuratively, sympathy; by implication, a vest; by extens. the stomach, the uterus (or of men, the seat of generation), the heart (figuratively) are troubled chamar (khaw-mar') to boil up; hence, to ferment (with scum); to glow (with redness); as denominative to smear with pitch -- daub, befoul, be red, trouble. my liver kabed (kaw-bade') the liver (as the heaviest of the viscera) -- liver. is poured shaphak (shaw-fak') to spill forth (blood, a libation, liquid metal; or even a solid, i.e. to mound up); also (figuratively) to expend (life, soul, complaint, money, etc.); intensively, to sprawl out -- cast (up), gush out, pour (out), shed(-der, out), slip. upon the earth 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. for the destruction sheber (sheh'-ber) a fracture, figuratively, ruin; specifically, a solution (of a dream) -- affliction, breach, breaking, broken(-footed, -handed), bruise, crashing, destruction, hurt, interpretation, vexation. of the daughter bath (bath) apple (of the eye), branch, company, daughter, first, old, owl, town, village. of my people `am (am) a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock -- folk, men, nation, people. because the children `owlel (o-lale') a suckling -- babe, (young) child, infant, little one. and the sucklings yanaq (yaw-nak') to suck; causatively, to give milk -- milch, nurse(-ing mother), (give, make to) suck(-ing child, -ling). swoon `ataph (aw-taf') to shroud, i.e. clothe (whether transitive or reflex.); hence (from the idea of darkness) to languish -- cover (over), fail, faint, feebler, hide self, be overwhelmed, swoon. in the streets rchob (rekh-obe') a width, i.e. (concretely) avenue or area -- broad place (way), street. of the city qiryah (kir-yaw') a city -- city. |
