Jerusalem Yruwshalaim (yer-oo-shaw-lah'-im) founded peaceful; Jerushalaim or Jerushalem, the capital city of Palestine -- Jerusalem. hath grievously chet' (khate) a crime or its penalty -- fault, grievously, offence, (punishment of) sin. sinned chata' (khaw-taw') to miss; hence (figuratively and generally) to sin; by inference, to forfeit, lack, expiate, repent, (causatively) lead astray, condemn therefore she is removed niydah (nee-daw') removal, i.e. exile -- removed. all that honoured kabad (kaw-bad') to be heavy, i.e. in a bad sense (burdensome, severe, dull) or in a good sense (numerous, rich, honorable); causatively, to make weightybe rich, be (go) sore, stop. her despise zuwl (zool) probably to shake out, i.e. (by implication) to scatter profusely; figuratively, to treat lightly -- lavish, despise. her because they have seen ra'ah (raw-aw') to see, literally or figuratively (in numerous applications, direct and implied, transitive, intransitive and causative)surely, think, view, visions. her nakedness `ervah (er-vaw') nudity, literally (especially the pudenda) or figuratively (disgrace, blemish) -- nakedness, shame, unclean(-ness). yea she sigheth 'anach (aw-nakh') to sigh -- groan, mourn, sigh. and turneth shuwb (shoob) to turn back (hence, away) transitively or intransitively, literally or figuratively backward 'achowr (aw-khore') the hinder part; hence (adverb) behind, backward; also (as facing north) the West -- after(-ward), back (part, -side, -ward), hereafter, (be-)hind(-er part), time to come, without. |
