I have heard shama` (shaw-mah') to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, etc.) of thee by the hearing shema` (shay'-mah) something heard, i.e. a sound, rumor, announcement; abstractly, audience -- bruit, fame, hear(-ing), loud, report, speech, tidings. of the ear 'ozen (o'-zen) broadness. i.e. (concrete) the ear (from its form in man) -- + advertise, audience, + displease, ear, hearing, + show. but now mine eye `ayin (ah'-yin) an eye; by analogy, a fountain (as the eye of the landscape) seeth ra'ah (raw-aw') to see, literally or figuratively (in numerous applications, direct and implied, transitive, intransitive and causative)surely, think, view, visions. thee |
