For he addeth yacaph (yaw-saf') to add or augment (often adverbial, to continue to do a thing) rebellion pesha` (peh'-shah) a revolt (national, moral or religious) -- rebellion, sin, transgression, trespass. unto his sin chatta'ah (khat-taw-aw') an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender he clappeth caphaq (saw-fak') to clap the hands (in token of compact, derision, grief, indignation, or punishment); by implication of satisfaction, to be enough; by implication of excess, to vomit his hands among us and multiplieth rabah (raw-baw') to increase (in whatever respect) his words 'emer (ay'-mer) something said -- answer, appointed unto him, saying, speech, word. against God 'el (ale) strength; as adjective, mighty; especially the Almighty (but used also of any deity) |
