But I have made Esau `Esav (ay-sawv') rough (i.e. sensibly felt); Esav, a son of Isaac, including his posterity -- Esau. bare chasaph (khaw-saf') to strip off, i.e. generally to make naked (for exertion or in disgrace), to drain away or bail up (a liquid) -- make bare, clean, discover, draw out, take, uncover. I have uncovered galah (gaw-law') to denude (especially in a disgraceful sense); by implication, to exile (captives being usually stripped); figuratively, to reveal his secret places mictar (mis-tawr') a concealer, i.e. a covert -- secret(-ly, place). and he shall not be able yakol (yaw-kole') to be able, literally (can, could) or morally (may, might) to hide chabah (khaw-bah') to secrete -- hide (self). himself his seed zera` (zeh'-rah) seed; figuratively, fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity -- carnally, child, fruitful, seed(-time), sowing-time. is spoiled shadad (shaw-dad') to be burly, i.e. (figuratively) powerful (passively, impregnable); by implication, to ravage -- dead, destroy(-er), oppress, robber, spoil(-er), utterly, (lay) waste. and his brethren 'ach (awkh) a brother (used in the widest sense of literal relationship and metaphorical affinity or resemblance (like 1) -- another, brother(-ly); kindred, like, other. and his neighbours shaken (shaw-kane') a resident; by extension, a fellow-citizen -- inhabitant, neighbour, nigh. and he is not |
