But if ye will not hearken shama` (shaw-mah') to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, etc.) unto me to hallow qadash (kaw-dash') to be (causatively, make, pronounce or observe as) clean (ceremonially or morally) the sabbath shabbath (shab-bawth') intermission, i.e (specifically) the Sabbath -- (+ every) sabbath. day yowm (yome) a day (as the warm hours), and not to bear nasa' (naw-saw') to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative, absol. and rel. (as follows) a burden massa' (mas-saw') burden, carry away, prophecy, they set, song, tribute. even entering in bow' (bo) to go or come (in a wide variety of applications) at the gates sha`ar (shah'-ar) an opening, i.e. door or gate -- city, door, gate, port (-er). of Jerusalem Yruwshalaim (yer-oo-shaw-lah'-im) founded peaceful; Jerushalaim or Jerushalem, the capital city of Palestine -- Jerusalem. on the sabbath shabbath (shab-bawth') intermission, i.e (specifically) the Sabbath -- (+ every) sabbath. day yowm (yome) a day (as the warm hours), then will I kindle yatsath (yaw-tsath') to burn or set on fire; figuratively, to desolate -- burn (up), be desolate, set (on) fire (fire), kindle. a fire 'esh (aysh) fire -- burning, fiery, fire, flaming, hot. in the gates sha`ar (shah'-ar) an opening, i.e. door or gate -- city, door, gate, port (-er). thereof and it shall devour 'akal (aw-kal') to eat -- at all, burn up, consume, devour(-er, up), dine, eat(-er, up), feed (with), food, freely, in...wise(-deed, plenty), (lay) meat, quite. the palaces 'armown (ar-mone') a citadel (from its height) -- castle, palace. of Jerusalem Yruwshalaim (yer-oo-shaw-lah'-im) founded peaceful; Jerushalaim or Jerushalem, the capital city of Palestine -- Jerusalem. and it shall not be quenched kabah (kaw-baw') to expire or (causatively) to extinguish (fire, light, anger) -- go (put) out, quench. |
