Thus saith 'amar (aw-mar') to say (used with great latitude) the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. unto this people `am (am) a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock -- folk, men, nation, people. Thus have they loved 'ahab (aw-hab') to have affection for (sexually or otherwise) -- (be-)love(-d, -ly, -r), like, friend. to wander nuwa` (noo'-ah) to waver, in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively (as subjoined) they have not refrained chasak (khaw-sak') assuage, darken, forbear, hinder, hold back, keep (back), punish, refrain, reserve, spare, withhold. their feet regel (reh'-gel) a foot (as used in walking); by implication, a step; by euphem. the pudenda -- be able to endure, according as, after, coming, follow, (broken-)foot(-ed, -stool), great toe, haunt, journey, leg, piss, possession, time. therefore the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. doth not accept ratsah (raw-tsaw') to be pleased with; specifically, to satisfy a debt them he will now remember zakar (zaw-kar') to mark (so as to be recognized), i.e. to remember; by implication, to mention their iniquity `avon (aw-vone') perversity, i.e. (moral) evil -- fault, iniquity, mischeif, punishment (of iniquity), sin. and visit paqad (paw-kad') to visit (with friendly or hostile intent); by analogy, to oversee, muster, charge, care for, miss, deposit, etc. their sins chatta'ah (khat-taw-aw') an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender |
