He hath made `asah (aw-saw') to do or make, in the broadest sense and widest application the earth 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. by his power koach (ko'-akh) from an unused root meaning to be firm; vigor, literally (force, in a good or a bad sense) or figuratively (capacity, means, produce); also (from its hardiness) a large lizard he hath established kuwn (koon) to be erect (i.e. stand perpendicular); hence (causatively) to set up, in a great variety of applications the world tebel (tay-bale') the earth (as moist and therefore inhabited); by extension, the globe; by implication, its inhabitants; specifically, a partic. land, as Babylonia, Palestine by his wisdom chokmah (khok-maw') wisdom (in a good sense) -- skilful, wisdom, wisely, wit. and hath stretched out natah (naw-taw') to stretch or spread out; by implication, to bend away (including moral deflection); used in a great variety of application (out), stretch (forth, out), take (aside), turn (aside, away), wrest, cause to yield. the heavens shamayim (shaw-mah'-yim) air, astrologer, heaven(-s). by his discretion tabuwn (taw-boon') intelligence; by implication, an argument; by extension, caprice -- discretion, reason, skilfulness, understanding, wisdom. |
