With arrows chets (khayts) a piercer, i.e. an arrow; by implication, a wound; figuratively, (of God) thunder-bolt; the shaft of a spear and with bows qesheth (keh'-sheth) of bending: a bow, for shooting (hence, figuratively, strength) or the iris -- arch(-er), + arrow, bow(-man, -shot). shall men come bow' (bo) to go or come (in a wide variety of applications) thither because all the land 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. shall become briers shamiyr (shaw-meer') a thorn; also (from its keenness for scratching) a gem, probably the diamond -- adamant (stone), brier, diamond. and thorns shayith (shah'-yith) scrub or trash, i.e. wild growth of weeds or briers (as if put on the field) -- thorns.
