Who among you will give ear 'azan (aw-zan') probably to expand; to broaden out the ear (with the hand), i.e. (by implication) to listen to this who will hearken qashab (kaw-shab') to prick up the ears, i.e. hearken -- attend, (cause to) hear(-ken), give heed, incline, mark (well), regard. and hear shama` (shaw-mah') to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, etc.) for the time to come 'achowr (aw-khore') the hinder part; hence (adverb) behind, backward; also (as facing north) the West -- after(-ward), back (part, -side, -ward), hereafter, (be-)hind(-er part), time to come, without. |
