The wilderness midbar (mid-bawr') a pasture (i.e. open field, whither cattle are driven); by implication, a desert; also speech (including its organs) -- desert, south, speech, wilderness. and the solitary place tsiyah (tsee-yaw') aridity; concretely, a desert -- barren, drought, dry (land, place), solitary place, wilderness. shall be glad suws (soos) to be bright, i.e. cheerful -- be glad, greatly, joy, make mirth, rejoice. for them and the desert `arabah (ar-aw-baw') a desert; especially (with the article prefix) the (generally) sterile valley of the Jordan and its continuation to the Red Sea -- Arabah, champaign, desert, evening, heaven, plain, wilderness. shall rejoice giyl (gheel) to spin round (under the influence of any violent emotion), i.e. usually rejoice, or (as cringing) fear -- be glad, joy, be joyful, rejoice. and blossom parach (paw-rakh') to break forth as a bud, i.e. bloom; generally, to spread; specifically, to fly (as extending the wings); figuratively, to flourish as the rose chabatstseleth (khab-ats-tseh'-leth) probably meadow-saffron -- rose. |
