And my people `am (am) a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock -- folk, men, nation, people. shall dwell yashab (yaw-shab') to sit down (specifically as judge. in ambush, in quiet); by implication, to dwell, to remain; causatively, to settle, to marry in a peaceable shalowm (shaw-lome') safe, i.e. (figuratively) well, happy, friendly; also (abstractly) welfare, i.e. health, prosperity, peace habitation naveh (naw-veh') comely, dwelling (place), fold, habitation, pleasant place, sheepcote, stable, tarried. and in sure mibtach (mib-tawkh') a refuge, i.e. (objective) security, or (subjective) assurance -- confidence, hope, sure, trust. dwellings mishkan (mish-kawn') a residence (including a shepherd's hut, the lair of animals, figuratively, the grave; also the Temple); specifically, the Tabernacle (properly, its wooden walls) and in quiet sha'anan (shah-an-awn') secure; in a bad sense, haughty -- that is at ease, quiet, tumult. resting places mnuwchah (men-oo-khaw') repose or (adverbially) peacefully; figuratively, consolation (specifically, matrimony); hence (concretely) an abode -- comfortable, ease, quiet, rest(-ing place), still. |
