Tremble charad (khaw-rad') to shudder with terror; hence, to fear; also to hasten (with anxiety) -- be (make) afraid, be careful, discomfit, fray (away), quake, tremble. ye women that are at ease sha'anan (shah-an-awn') secure; in a bad sense, haughty -- that is at ease, quiet, tumult. be troubled ragaz (raw-gaz') to quiver (with any violent emotion, especially anger or fear) -- be afraid, stand in awe, disquiet, fall out, fret, move, provoke, quake, rage, shake, tremble, trouble, be wroth. ye careless ones batach (baw-takh') to hie for refuge; figuratively, to trust, be confident or sure -- be bold (confident, secure, sure), careless (one, woman), put confidence, (make to) hope, (put, make to) trust. strip pashat (paw-shat') to spread out (i.e. deploy in hostile array); by analogy, to strip (i.e. unclothe, plunder, flay, etc.) you and make you bare `arar (aw-rar') to bare; figuratively, to demolish -- make bare, break, raise up (perhaps by clerical error for raze), utterly. and gird chagowr (khag-ore') a belt (for the waist) -- apron, armour, gird(-le). sackcloth upon your loins chalats (khaw-lawts') only in the dual; the loins (as the seat of vigor) -- loins, reins. |
