They shall have linen pishteh (pish-teh') linen (i.e. the thread, as carded) -- flax, linen. bonnets p'er (peh-ayr') an embellishment, i.e. fancy head-dress -- beauty, bonnet, goodly, ornament, tire. upon their heads ro'sh (roshe) the head (as most easily shaken), whether literal or figurative (in many applications, of place, time, rank, itc.) and shall have linen pishteh (pish-teh') linen (i.e. the thread, as carded) -- flax, linen. breeches miknac (mik-nawce') (only in dual) drawers (from concealing the private parts) -- breeches. upon their loins mothen (mo'-then) the waist or small of the back; only in plural the loins -- + greyhound, loins, side. they shall not gird chagar (khaw-gar') to gird on (as a belt, armor, etc.) -- be able to put on, be afraid, appointed, gird, restrain, on every side. themselves with any thing that causeth sweat yeza` (yeh'-zah) sweat, i.e. (by implication) a sweating dress -- any thing that causeth sweat. |
