For all his days yowm (yome) a day (as the warm hours), are sorrows mak'ob (mak-obe') anguish or (figuratively) affliction -- grief, pain, sorrow. and his travail `inyan (in-yawn') ado, i.e. (generally) employment or (specifically) an affair -- business, travail. grief ka`ac (kah'-as) vexation -- anger, angry, grief, indignation, provocation, provoking, sore, sorrow, spite, wrath. yea his heart leb (labe) the heart; also used (figuratively) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect taketh not rest shakab (shaw-kab') to lie down (for rest, sexual connection, decease or any other purpose) in the night layil (lah'-yil) a twist (away of the light), i.e. night; figuratively, adversity -- (mid-)night (season). This is also vanity hebel (heh'bel) emptiness or vanity; figuratively, something transitory and unsatisfactory; often used as an adverb -- altogether, vain, vanity. |
