Truly the light 'owr (ore) illumination or (concrete) luminary (in every sense, including lightning, happiness, etc.) -- bright, clear, + day, light (-ning), morning, sun. is sweet mathowq (maw-thoke') sweet -- sweet(-er, -ness). and a pleasant towb (tobe) good (as an adjective) in the widest sense; used likewise as a noun thing it is for the eyes `ayin (ah'-yin) an eye; by analogy, a fountain (as the eye of the landscape) to behold ra'ah (raw-aw') to see, literally or figuratively (in numerous applications, direct and implied, transitive, intransitive and causative)surely, think, view, visions. the sun shemesh (sheh'-mesh) the sun; by implication, the east; figuratively, a ray, i.e. (arch.) a notched battlement -- + east side(-ward), sun (rising), + west(-ward), window. |
