Understand yada` (yaw-dah') to know (properly, to ascertain by seeing); used in a great variety of senses, figuratively, literally, euphemistically and inferentially therefore this day yowm (yome) a day (as the warm hours), that the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. thy God 'elohiym (el-o-heem') angels, exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty. is he which goeth over `abar (aw-bar') to cross over; used very widely of any transition (literal or figurative; transitive, intransitive, intensive, causative); specifically, to cover (in copulation) before paniym (paw-neem') the face (as the part that turns); used in a great variety of applications (literally and figuratively); also (with prepositional prefix) as a preposition (before, etc.) thee as a consuming 'akal (aw-kal') to eat -- at all, burn up, consume, devour(-er, up), dine, eat(-er, up), feed (with), food, freely, in...wise(-deed, plenty), (lay) meat, quite. fire 'esh (aysh) fire -- burning, fiery, fire, flaming, hot. he shall destroy shamad (shaw-mad') to desolate -- destory(-uction), bring to nought, overthrow, perish, pluck down, utterly. them and he shall bring them down kana` (kaw-nah') to bend the knee; hence, to humiliate, vanquish -- bring down (low), into subjection, under, humble (self), subdue. before thy face paniym (paw-neem') the face (as the part that turns); used in a great variety of applications (literally and figuratively); also (with prepositional prefix) as a preposition (before, etc.) so shalt thou drive them out yarash (yaw-rash') to occupy (by driving out previous tenants, and possessing in their place); by implication, to seize, to rob, to inherit; also to expel, to impoverish, to ruin and destroy 'abad (aw-bad') to wander away, i.e. lose oneself; by implication to perish (causative, destroy) them quickly maher (mah-hare') hurrying; hence (adverbially) in a hurry -- hasteth, hastily, at once, quickly, soon, speedily, suddenly. as the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. hath said dabar (daw-bar') perhaps properly, to arrange; but used figuratively (of words), to speak; rarely (in a destructive sense) to subdue unto thee |
