And the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. said 'amar (aw-mar') to say (used with great latitude) unto him This is the land 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. which I sware shaba` (shaw-bah') propr. to be complete; to seven oneself, i.e. swear (as if by repeating a declaration seven times) unto Abraham 'Abraham (ab-raw-hawm') father of a multitude; Abraham, the later name of Abram -- Abraham. unto Isaac Yitschaq (yits-khawk') laughter (i.e. mochery); Jitschak (or Isaac), son of Abraham -- Isaac. and unto Jacob Ya`aqob (yah-ak-obe') heel-catcher (i.e. supplanter); Jaakob, the Israelitish patriarch -- Jacob. saying 'amar (aw-mar') to say (used with great latitude) I will give nathan (naw-than') to give, used with greatest latitude of application (put, make, etc.) it unto thy seed zera` (zeh'-rah) seed; figuratively, fruit, plant, sowing-time, posterity -- carnally, child, fruitful, seed(-time), sowing-time. I have caused thee to see ra'ah (raw-aw') to see, literally or figuratively (in numerous applications, direct and implied, transitive, intransitive and causative)surely, think, view, visions. it with thine eyes `ayin (ah'-yin) an eye; by analogy, a fountain (as the eye of the landscape) but thou shalt not go over `abar (aw-bar') to cross over; used very widely of any transition (literal or figurative; transitive, intransitive, intensive, causative); specifically, to cover (in copulation) thither |
