I will make mine arrows chets (khayts) a piercer, i.e. an arrow; by implication, a wound; figuratively, (of God) thunder-bolt; the shaft of a spear drunk shakar (shaw-kar') to become tipsy; in a qualified sense, to satiate with a stimulating drink or (figuratively) influence with blood dam (dawm) blood (as that which when shed causes death) of man or an animal; by analogy, the juice of the grape; figuratively (especially in the plural) bloodshed (i.e. drops of blood) and my sword chereb (kheh'-reb) drought; also a cutting instrument (from its destructive effect), as a knife, sword, or other sharp implement -- axe, dagger, knife, mattock, sword, tool. shall devour 'akal (aw-kal') to eat -- at all, burn up, consume, devour(-er, up), dine, eat(-er, up), feed (with), food, freely, in...wise(-deed, plenty), (lay) meat, quite. flesh basar (baw-sawr') flesh (from its freshness); by extension, body, person; also (by euphem.) the pudenda of a man -- body, (fat, lean) flesh(-ed), kin, (man-)kind, + nakedness, self, skin. and that with the blood dam (dawm) blood (as that which when shed causes death) of man or an animal; by analogy, the juice of the grape; figuratively (especially in the plural) bloodshed (i.e. drops of blood) of the slain chalal (khaw-lawl') pierced (especially to death); figuratively, polluted -- kill, profane, slain (man), slew, (deadly) wounded. and of the captives shibyah (shib-yaw') exile (abstractly or concretely and collectively) -- captives(-ity). from the beginning ro'sh (roshe) the head (as most easily shaken), whether literal or figurative (in many applications, of place, time, rank, itc.) of revenges par`ah (par-aw') leadership (plural concretely, leaders) -- + avenging, revenge. upon the enemy 'oyeb (o-yabe') hating; an adversary -- enemy, foe. |
