For when I shall have brought bow' (bo) to go or come (in a wide variety of applications) them into the land 'adamah (ad-aw-maw') soil (from its general redness) -- country, earth, ground, husband(-man) (-ry), land. which I sware shaba` (shaw-bah') propr. to be complete; to seven oneself, i.e. swear (as if by repeating a declaration seven times) unto their fathers 'ab (awb) father, in a literal and immediate, or figurative and remote application) -- chief, (fore-)father(-less), patrimony, principal. Compare names in Abi-. that floweth zuwb (zoob) to flow freely (as water), i.e. (specifically) to have a (sexual) flux; figuratively, to waste away; also to overflow -- flow, gush out, have a (running) issue, pine away, run. with milk chalab (khaw-lawb') milk (as the richness of kine) -- + cheese, milk, sucking. and honey dbash (deb-ash') honey (from its stickiness); by analogy, syrup -- honey(-comb). and they shall have eaten 'akal (aw-kal') to eat -- at all, burn up, consume, devour(-er, up), dine, eat(-er, up), feed (with), food, freely, in...wise(-deed, plenty), (lay) meat, quite. and filled saba` (saw-bah') to sate, i.e. fill to satisfaction -- have enough, fill (full, self, with), be (to the) full (of), have plenty of, be satiate, satisfy (with), suffice, be weary of. themselves and waxen fat dashen (daw-shane') to be fat; transitively, to fatten (or regard as fat); specifically to anoint; figuratively, to satisfy; denominatively to remove (fat) ashes (of sacrifices) then will they turn panah (paw-naw') to turn; by implication, to face, i.e. appear, look, etc. unto other 'acher (akh-air') hinder; generally, next, other, etc. -- (an-)other man, following, next, strange. gods 'elohiym (el-o-heem') angels, exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty. and serve `abad (aw-bad') to work (in any sense); by implication, to serve, till, (causatively) enslave, etc. them and provoke na'ats (naw-ats') to scorn; or (Ecclesiastes 12:5), to bloom -- abhor, (give occasion to) blaspheme, contemn, despise, flourish, great, provoke. me and break parar (paw-rar') to break up (usually figuratively), i.e. to violate, frustrate my covenant briyth (ber-eeth') a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh) -- confederacy, (con-)feder(-ate), covenant, league. |
