But if thine heart lebab (lay-bawb') the heart (as the most interior organ) turn away panah (paw-naw') to turn; by implication, to face, i.e. appear, look, etc. so that thou wilt not hear shama` (shaw-mah') to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, etc.) but shalt be drawn away nadach (naw-dakh') to push off; used in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively (to expel, mislead, strike, inflict, etc.) and worship shachah (shaw-khaw') to depress, i.e. prostrate (especially reflexive, in homage to royalty or God) other 'acher (akh-air') hinder; generally, next, other, etc. -- (an-)other man, following, next, strange. gods 'elohiym (el-o-heem') angels, exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty. and serve `abad (aw-bad') to work (in any sense); by implication, to serve, till, (causatively) enslave, etc. them |
