And Moses Mosheh (mo-sheh') drawing out (of the water), i.e. rescued; Mosheh, the Israelite lawgiver -- Moses. and the priests kohen (ko-hane') literally, one officiating, a priest; also (by courtesy) an acting priest (although a layman) -- chief ruler, own, priest, prince, principal officer. the Levites Leviyiy (lay-vee-ee') a Levite or descendant of Levi -- Leviite. spake dabar (daw-bar') perhaps properly, to arrange; but used figuratively (of words), to speak; rarely (in a destructive sense) to subdue unto all Israel Yisra'el (yis-raw-ale') he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: --Israel. saying 'amar (aw-mar') to say (used with great latitude) Take heed cakath (saw-kath') by implication, to observe quietly -- take heed. and hearken shama` (shaw-mah') to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.; causatively, to tell, etc.) O Israel Yisra'el (yis-raw-ale') he will rule as God; Jisrael, a symbolical name of Jacob; also (typically) of his posterity: --Israel. this day yowm (yome) a day (as the warm hours), thou art become hayah (haw-yaw) to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary) the people `am (am) a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock -- folk, men, nation, people. of the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. thy God 'elohiym (el-o-heem') angels, exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty. |
