And it shall be when thou art come in bow' (bo) to go or come (in a wide variety of applications) unto the land 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. which the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. thy God 'elohiym (el-o-heem') angels, exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty. giveth nathan (naw-than') to give, used with greatest latitude of application (put, make, etc.) thee for an inheritance nachalah (nakh-al-aw') something inherited, i.e. (abstractly) occupancy, or (concretely) an heirloom; generally an estate, patrimony or portion -- heritage, to inherit, inheritance, possession. and possessest yarash (yaw-rash') to occupy (by driving out previous tenants, and possessing in their place); by implication, to seize, to rob, to inherit; also to expel, to impoverish, to ruin it and dwellest yashab (yaw-shab') to sit down (specifically as judge. in ambush, in quiet); by implication, to dwell, to remain; causatively, to settle, to marry therein |
