Thou shalt not oppress `ashaq (aw-shak') to press upon, i.e. oppress, defraud, violate, overflow -- get deceitfully, deceive, defraud, drink up, (use) oppress(-ion), -or), do violence (wrong). an hired servant sakiyr (saw-keer') a man at wages by the day or year -- hired (man, servant), hireling. that is poor `aniy (aw-nee') depressed, in mind or circumstances -- afflicted, humble, lowly, needy, poor. and needy 'ebyown (eb-yone') destitute -- beggar, needy, poor (man). whether he be of thy brethren 'ach (awkh) a brother (used in the widest sense of literal relationship and metaphorical affinity or resemblance (like 1) -- another, brother(-ly); kindred, like, other. or of thy strangers ger (gare) a guest; by implication, a foreigner -- alien, sojourner, stranger. that are in thy land 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. within thy gates sha`ar (shah'-ar) an opening, i.e. door or gate -- city, door, gate, port (-er). |
