Unto a stranger nokriy (nok-ree') strange, in a variety of degrees and applications (foreign, non-relative, adulterous, different, wonderful) -- alien, foreigner, outlandish, strange(-r, woman). thou mayest lend upon usury nashak (naw-shak') to strike with a sting (as a serpent); figuratively, to oppress with interest on a loan -- bite, lend upon usury. but unto thy brother 'ach (awkh) a brother (used in the widest sense of literal relationship and metaphorical affinity or resemblance (like 1) -- another, brother(-ly); kindred, like, other. thou shalt not lend upon usury nashak (naw-shak') to strike with a sting (as a serpent); figuratively, to oppress with interest on a loan -- bite, lend upon usury. that the LORD Yhovah (yeh-ho-vaw') (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God -- Jehovah, the Lord. thy God 'elohiym (el-o-heem') angels, exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty. may bless barak (baw-rak') to kneel; by implication to bless God (as an act of adoration), and (vice-versa) man (as a benefit); also (by euphemism) to curse (God or the king, as treason) thee in all that thou settest mishlowach (mish-lo'-akh) to lay, to put, sending (forth), to set. thine hand yad (yawd) a hand (the open one (indicating power, means, direction, etc.), to in the land 'erets (eh'-rets) the earth (at large, or partitively a land) -- common, country, earth, field, ground, land, natins, way, + wilderness, world. whither thou goest bow' (bo) to go or come (in a wide variety of applications) to possess yarash (yaw-rash') to occupy (by driving out previous tenants, and possessing in their place); by implication, to seize, to rob, to inherit; also to expel, to impoverish, to ruin it |
