He shall dwell yashab (yaw-shab') to sit down (specifically as judge. in ambush, in quiet); by implication, to dwell, to remain; causatively, to settle, to marry with thee even among qereb (keh'-reb) the nearest part, i.e. the center, whether literal, figurative or adverbial (especially with preposition) you in that place maqowm (maw-kome') a standing, i.e. a spot; but used widely of a locality (general or specific); also (figuratively) of a condition (of body or mind) which he shall choose bachar (baw-khar') to try, i.e. (by implication) select -- acceptable, appoint, choose (choice), excellent, join, be rather, require. in one 'echad (ekh-awd') united, i.e. one; or (as an ordinal) first of thy gates sha`ar (shah'-ar) an opening, i.e. door or gate -- city, door, gate, port (-er). where it liketh him best towb (tobe) good (as an adjective) in the widest sense; used likewise as a noun thou shalt not oppress yanah (yaw-naw') to rage or be violent: by implication, to suppress, to maltreat -- destroy, (thrust out by) oppress(-ing, -ion, -or), proud, vex, do violence. him |
