The Emims 'Eymiym (ay-meem') terrors; Emim, an early Canaanitish (or Maobitish) tribe -- Emims. dwelt yashab (yaw-shab') to sit down (specifically as judge. in ambush, in quiet); by implication, to dwell, to remain; causatively, to settle, to marry therein in times past paniym (paw-neem') the face (as the part that turns); used in a great variety of applications (literally and figuratively); also (with prepositional prefix) as a preposition (before, etc.) a people `am (am) a people (as a congregated unit); specifically, a tribe (as those of Israel); hence (collectively) troops or attendants; figuratively, a flock -- folk, men, nation, people. great gadowl (gaw-dole') great (in any sense); hence, older; also insolent and many rab (rab) abundant (in quantity, size, age, number, rank, quality) and tall ruwm (room) to be high actively, to rise or raise (in various applications, literally or figuratively) as the Anakims `Anaqiy (an-aw-kee') an Anakite or descendant of Anak -- Anakim. |
