Though they dig chathar (khaw-thar') to force a passage, as by burglary; figuratively, with oars -- dig (through), row. into hell sh'owl (sheh-ole') Hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat), including its accessories and inmates -- grave, hell, pit. thence shall mine hand yad (yawd) a hand (the open one (indicating power, means, direction, etc.), take laqach (law-kakh') to take (in the widest variety of applications) them though they climb up `alah (aw-law') to ascend, intransitively (be high) or actively (mount); used in a great variety of senses, primary and secondary, literal and figurative (as follow) to heaven shamayim (shaw-mah'-yim) air, astrologer, heaven(-s). thence will I bring them down yarad (yaw-rad') to descend; causatively, to bring down (in all the above applications) |
