When the heaven shamayim (shaw-mah'-yim) air, astrologer, heaven(-s). is shut up `atsar (aw-tsar') to inclose; by analogy, to hold back; also to maintain, rule, assemble and there is no rain matar (maw-tawr') rain -- rain. because they have sinned chata' (khaw-taw') to miss; hence (figuratively and generally) to sin; by inference, to forfeit, lack, expiate, repent, (causatively) lead astray, condemn against thee yet if they pray palal (paw-lal') to judge (officially or mentally); by extension, to intercede, pray -- intreat, judge(-ment), (make) pray(-er, -ing), make supplication. toward this place maqowm (maw-kome') a standing, i.e. a spot; but used widely of a locality (general or specific); also (figuratively) of a condition (of body or mind) and confess yadah (yaw-daw') cast (out), (make) confess(-ion), praise, shoot, (give) thank(-ful, -s, -sgiving). thy name shem (shame) an appellation, as a mark or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character -- + base, (in-)fame(-ous), named(-d), renown, report. and turn shuwb (shoob) to turn back (hence, away) transitively or intransitively, literally or figuratively from their sin chatta'ah (khat-taw-aw') an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender when thou dost afflict `anah (aw-naw') to depress literally or figuratively, transitive or intransitive (in various applications, as follows) them |
