If a man 'iysh (eesh) a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation) sin chata' (khaw-taw') to miss; hence (figuratively and generally) to sin; by inference, to forfeit, lack, expiate, repent, (causatively) lead astray, condemn against his neighbour rea` (ray'-ah) an associate (more or less close) -- brother, companion, fellow, friend, husband, lover, neighbour, (an-)other. and an oath 'alah (aw-law') an imprecation -- curse, cursing, execration, oath, swearing. be laid nasa' (naw-saw') to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative, absol. and rel.
